Knitted Infinity Necklace: $25 - 1 Session

Sunday 5/6/18 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM

Learn to knit this beautiful infinity necklace using Plymouth Goldrush yarn. You will learn to do a provisional cast on in this project. This project calls for 2 colors of Gold Rush – a beautiful metallic yarn from Plymouth and size 5 needles. Necklace clasp will be available from the instructor.

Very Beginning Knitting Class: $50 - 2 Sessions

Wednesdays 5/9/18 and 5/16/18 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

This 2-part class will cover the process of casting on, knitting, purling and casting off. You will practice these techniques by knitting squares which can then be sewn together or used as coasters! After that the whole world of knitting is opened up to you! You will need 1 skein of yarn and straight knitting needles sized according to your yarn. A reference book on knitting is highly recommended and there are several to choose from in the shop. Come in prior to class to select yarn from among choices available.

Crocheted Linen Stitch Scarf: $25 - 1 Session

Sunday 6/3/18 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM

This is a crocheted scarf using the Linen Stitch. In this class, you will also learn the Foundation Single Crochet stitch, which is a single crochet stitch that does not require the traditional foundation chain stitch. One skein of Araucania Huasco Sock yarn is recommended for this project (used in the sample found in the store), but similar weight yarn could be substituted. Bring a G (4.00mm) crochet hook or similar size hooks for gauge. For this class, you need to know how to chain and single crochet.

Intro to Continental Knitting: $25 - 1 Session

Wednesday 6/6/18 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Learn how to knit holding the working yarn with your left hand. This is a great way for crochet-ers to learn to knit easily! This technique greatly reduces the movement of the arms and reduces chances for repetitive stress injuries. Bring some scrap yarn and needles or buy a new project to try out this different way of knitting!

Crochet Beaded Flower Bracelet Class: $25 - 1 Session

Sunday 6/10/18 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM

Here’s a quick and fun project, which would be great for gift giving or for a special occasion. You will learn how to do a single crochet picot stitch, how to add a bead as you crochet and how to make a bead & loop closure. Once you understand how to make this bracelet, you can make a matching necklace and earrings. Gold Rush Metalized yarn or Scoubidu yarn is recommended for this project. The faux pearl beads will be provided. Bring a Knitter’s Pride B (2.25mm) or size 6 (1.8mm) crochet hook or similar size hook. For this class, knowledge of how to chain, single and double crochet is recommended.

Entrelac Knitting Technique: $50 - 2 Sessions

Wednesdays 6/13/18 and 6/20/18 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

You will create a beautiful scarf with this technique! Entrelac is a knitting technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. While the end result resembles basket-woven strips of knitted fabric, the actual material comprises interconnected squares on two different orientations. You will need yarn and needles for your project. This is a 2 session offering. Variegated yarn is perfect for this technique!

Adele Triple Stranded Knitted Necklace: $25 - 1 Session

Sunday 6/17/18 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM

This glamorous necklace will add sparkle to your wardrobe. It has the appearance of a metal mesh material but is as light as air to wear. There are no fasteners to attach, as the necklace simply slips over the head. In making it, you will practice casting on and off in the middle of the work. A supply list to make the necklace will be available in the shop when you sign up.

We will be closed Sundays and Mondays for July thru Labor Day.
